France finalize their 7-man OWWC roster
Team France took to Twitter to unveil their finalized 7-man roster for this year’s Overwatch World Cup. France was one of the final two teams sitting in the top ten country rankings to reveal their roster. Team United States will be the last one out of the lot to unveil their finalized roster.
Returning to the front line for Team France is Philadelphia Fusion flex tank Gael “Poko” Gouzerch. He’ll be joined by Samsung Morning Stars main tank Simon “Chubz” Vullo.
France will turn to a new support duo in Paris Eternal flex support Damien “HyP” Souville and Young and Beautiful main support Brice “FDGod” Monsçavoir. The move is a departure from the former Rogue supports uNKOE and Winz.
Several teams have opted to bring an additional damage option and France will be doing the same this year. Returning to the lineup from 2017 and 2018 is Paris Eternal DPS Terence “SoOn” Tarlier. He’ll be joined by Revival DPS Jeremy “Hqrdest” Danton and Team Gigantti DPS Lucas “Leaf” Loison.
France will look to improve over their 5-8th place finish in the 2018 Overwatch World Cup after being swept by Canada in the quarterfinals. They’ll look to secure their spot in the group stage which will kick off at BlizzCon following the preliminary rounds. Both the group stage and the playoffs will take place on the main stage at BlizzCon.
