China turns to Hunters quartet for World Cup

China will look to find similar success in the 2019 Overwatch World Cup after taking home the silver medal last year.

China swept Finland and Canada en route to the grand finals where they lost four consecutive maps against South Korea. The win secured a three-peat for South Korea who didn’t drop a single map in 2018.

Returning from China’s 2018 roster are DPS leave, Hangzhou Spark tank Guxue, and Chengdu Hunters support Yveltal. Also returning to the World Cup stage is Guangzhou Charge DPS Eileen who last competed for China during the 2017 Overwatch World Cup.

Joining the team this year are Chengdu Hunters DPS Jinmu, Chengdu Hunters tank Elsa, and Chengdu Hunters support Kyo. 4 of the 7 selected players are from the Chengdu Hunters.
